What is a Moop? Why the Moop Mitt?

Moops are short for Marcus' Meat Pops, which are marinated lamb chops. A group of us have been eating Marcus's Moops for many New England Patriots games. You can see the recipe and photos of the Moops by clicking here.

When attending a game in which Moops are on the tailgating menu, we traditionally grabbed a paper towel to hold the bone which was hot off the grill. This gave me an idea one day to create the Moop Mitt, a neoprene, heat resistant "finger mitt" which protects your thumb and index finger from the heat and keeps them clean at the same time. I quickly realized that his could be used for a great many foods at our tailgate. Most tailgaters will tell you that forks are optional. The food we prepare can generally be eaten with 2 fingers, making the Moop Mitt an ideal addition to your tailgating accessories.

Here's a sample menu from this past week's NE Patriots vs. SD Chargers game, all of which were ideal finger foods for the Moop Mitt:

  • Buffalo Wings
  • Reuben Egg Rolls
  • Veal Cutlets
  • Chicken Cutlets
  • Moops (www.aramweb.com/moops)
  • Flank Steak w/ Blue Cheese (www.aramweb.com/flank)
